After Sabalom Glitz and the Rani have a discussion about etiquette, Davros introduces them to the 7th Doctor as his ‘accomplices’.
January 22nd, 2008 at 7:25 am
AHH HA, HA, HA!!! So It’s Glitz that gets one in the wedding tackle!
But good lord, poor old 7 isn’t THAT small is he? Must be The Rani’s heels.
January 22nd, 2008 at 7:27 am
I dunno… I always thought McCoy looked small on TV and when I met him in person, I was positively stunned at how little he really was!
January 22nd, 2008 at 7:43 am
Man, that was starting to get sick, and yet, good ol’ slapstick humor saved the day.
I’m making a note that accomplices is in quotes. Just in case.
January 22nd, 2008 at 7:43 am
Eeeek! That’s all there is so far! I got linked to this on LJ somewhere and read it all in one fell swoop. It’s so engrossing! As someone who’s clear on 9 and 10 and is slowly working her way through the rest of the Doctors cherry-picking rather than chronologically, this is fantastic. There are people I recognise, who you have rendered brilliantly, and there are those I’ve not met yet who I’m looking forward to meeting. This is great. I’m definitely reccing this out, and will become one of your constantly-checking-for-updates-minions!
January 22nd, 2008 at 7:44 am
Now Glitz had that coming
And the poor seventh Doctor’s expression of utter shock, when the Rani tells him she thinks the Daleks are winning - priceless.
Although I think she plays her own game, she usually does.
January 22nd, 2008 at 8:16 am
Youch! Wouldn’t have seen THAT in the original series.
And yes, poor Seven, surrounded by three of his least favorite people in the universe. How’s he gonna get out of this one?
January 22nd, 2008 at 8:41 am
Jeezy Creezy, but Seven is tiny. I didn’t know he was that short. (And yet he’s still one of the most intimidating Doctors. Go, Seven!)
But ooh, the Rani teamed up with Davros. This does not bode well, no it doesn’t. I can’t wait to see what else it bodes! Fantastic work!
January 22nd, 2008 at 8:58 am
hehehe “You’re welcome…” I can just hear the pain in that.
I’m guessing 7’s height is more to do with poetic licence than accuracy of scale. On the telly, the Doctor (as McCoy) was only about half a head shorter than the Rani - but for comics sometimes scale is used more liberally.
January 22nd, 2008 at 11:13 am
LOL! I love the height difference. Especially since 8 is a bit of a short, too. (I hear they had McGann stand on a box when he was kissing Daphne Ashbrook because they didn’t like the idea of her being taller than him.)
January 22nd, 2008 at 11:13 am
Brilliant! hahahaha. Glitz had it coming.
January 22nd, 2008 at 12:01 pm
Someone once posted the heights of all the Doctor actors here, I think. And Sylvester McCoy must be really small!
January 22nd, 2008 at 12:12 pm
Rich is 5′9″, and at the con where they met, McCoy came up to his chin, or thereabouts. So 5′5″? 5′4″? Small, anyway.
January 22nd, 2008 at 1:11 pm
How do yuo draw so cool. Can you !!PLEEEAAAASSEEE!! do a tutorial.
January 22nd, 2008 at 1:21 pm
Aww, little wee 7 and the Rani with her knee of death.
Good one Rich.
January 22nd, 2008 at 2:37 pm
Sylv is 5′6 from what imdb.com says. Kate O’Mara is 5′4, actually. DrkFire666 is right…must be the heels. :p
January 22nd, 2008 at 2:58 pm
Yay!
Always brilliant, always happy to see a new page, and always thankful to ya Rich!
January 22nd, 2008 at 3:10 pm
I gotta say, I’ve only seen pictures of the Rani on Wiki, but these drawings make her look a lot more attractive than the one on TV. Has she regenerated, do you think?
January 22nd, 2008 at 3:16 pm
Hey now, 5′6″ isn’t that short… But then, Seven being so tiny works well with the art style.
Man, I love it. “I didn’t kill you when you deserved it. Satisfied?” And even more disturbing is that the sound effect going with it is apparently “crunch.” Ooph. >.
January 22nd, 2008 at 3:51 pm
Seven isn’t that small, but it’s still funny to see him that way, so I applaud your creative artistic license.
So the Rani is working with Davros on the genetically superior Daleks… interesting. And scary. She could do wonders even that impotent head-in-a-jar couldn’t come up with, likely.
January 22nd, 2008 at 7:26 pm
That really made me laugh. Glitz and the Rani? Now I want to see it, just for the sheer ridiculous lulz.
And I love teeny-tiny Seven!
January 22nd, 2008 at 8:39 pm
Cool, and um Rich i don’t think you can look it up im just telling you now the name says it all

FAMILY… TREE its about erm i dont know if i should be telling you this but anyway its about some animals that get sucked into a portal and come from our world into another where they get powers and can talk, their job is to stop the heartless (minons of the hunter animal with dark power) and live their life in the family tree even though they are all different amimals. We put our friends in it. We could put you in it but you would have to answer these questions: if you could be any animal in the world what would it be (not a water animal) and What power would you have out of Water Earth Fire Light Air or Smoke (you have to be a dragon to be smoke) Um yeh thats it.
January 22nd, 2008 at 9:34 pm
probably the only time I will ever cheer for the rani
I’m sorry but glitz deserved that for deserting mel!
January 22nd, 2008 at 11:12 pm
This. Is. Brilliant. I LOVE your interpretations of all the characters. Sending off the Doctors and companions in teams has been great fun. I only just discovered this and am completely delighted. Keep it up!
And Glitz REALLY should have known better. Go Rani!
January 22nd, 2008 at 11:39 pm
Hahahahahaha! I usually don’t root for the baddies, but what Rani did to Glitz was priceless! You go girl!
January 23rd, 2008 at 5:15 am
Glitz just found out why the Rani is often addressed as “Mistress”
January 23rd, 2008 at 7:17 am
I think this is a new, rather tall incarnation of the Rani. Perhaps played by Carol Vorderman! Either that or 7 is shrinking as he gets older. I’m still absolutely loving this comic. It’s a proper epic now, a fantastic body of work!
January 23rd, 2008 at 8:56 am
I haven’t really got a problem with 7’s height, but I don’t remember his eyebrows being that big!
January 23rd, 2008 at 9:22 am
The Rani Looks Really Evil In Box 7 Doesn’t She?!!!!
January 23rd, 2008 at 9:55 am
Wow… I had no idea the Rani was a fan of the Nutcracker…
January 23rd, 2008 at 11:10 am
Okay, this is my new favorite scene…I love it! Hah!
January 23rd, 2008 at 12:30 pm
I’ve just found this comic and this is the first time posting. I must say, fantastic work! I’ve really enjoyed it so far!
January 23rd, 2008 at 12:51 pm
Poor Glitz! That’s really cruel, even for the Rani! I’ve always wondered why the Daleks never teamed up with the cool, calculating Rani instead of the treacherous, unstable Master.
January 23rd, 2008 at 3:50 pm
I would actually be interested in that, Julia, but I’m not sure his is the most appropiate place.
January 23rd, 2008 at 3:50 pm
*this
January 23rd, 2008 at 5:30 pm
First off, kudo’s Rani on getting Glitz when he’s the most annoying
and then, Hah! The Doctor’s just been handed a clue
and he’s surprised, but surely will know what to do
Cant wait for this to pan out!
January 23rd, 2008 at 6:16 pm
I must say, this makes me like the Rani even more than I did already. I kept wanting Ace to do that to Glitz during Dragonfire, and he’d probably given Ace more reason to than he gave the Rani.
Also, the steam! Fantastic. Makes the mental playback of Seven’s angry “Glitz” even better.
January 23rd, 2008 at 9:44 pm
its my birthday today 22, i feel old, ha ha ha
January 23rd, 2008 at 10:52 pm
Stef: ok well i was just board and i was just telling the world other stuff about me because this page is about doctor who but imagine talking about it all the time you would get board so im just entertaning myself. oh and nice to see someone else is interested in the comic thanxs lotz.
p.s. sorry if i upset you, but im only 13 so im still only just sort of experimenting.
January 24th, 2008 at 7:14 am
I was left speechless..
January 24th, 2008 at 7:50 am
Re: height of the Doctor in his various re-generations.
Found this a while back
(includes 3 “non-cannon” Doctors):

January 24th, 2008 at 10:07 am
It seems as though they’re all either 6′0-6′3 or 5′2 or 3.
January 24th, 2008 at 11:02 am
Love the usual suspects pic! But who is the furthest one on the left? I recognize the vampire 9th (Animated, voiced by the ‘handsome Doctor’ Richard E Grant) and the ‘human’ “Dr. Who”(Peter Cushing)
January 24th, 2008 at 12:05 pm
Curse of Fatal Death doc? I dunno.
January 24th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
Yah, that’s Rowan Atkinson’s Doc.
Heh, I find it funny that only two of the Docs (Shalka Nine and Proper Nine) are as tall as I am.
I also think the Bakers are cheating . . . they’re only as tall as Three and Five because of their outrageous hair!
January 24th, 2008 at 3:23 pm
I love this picture. I have it as my wallpaper, but tweaked it a bit o MS Paint to rub out the non-canon Doctors. Not that I don’t like them, well, except Cushing. to wipe him from the picture was a pleasure.
January 24th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
wait, Five is 6 feet tall? No way!
January 24th, 2008 at 4:57 pm
OMG! That is so good! You are a seriously good artist! Love Glitz’s face when she kicks him in the nuts
January 24th, 2008 at 11:11 pm
I teach Grade 4, and my kids are big Nu Who fans (thanks to my influence ;)).
Anyways, they’ve been burning through all the Doctor Who reading material I can provide, so I’ve started printing this comic off for them.
Today, one of my reluctant readers sat and read this for a full half hour (He’s a good reader, he just doesn’t like to read.) only stopping to ask questions about Classic Who people he was unfamiliar with.
He loved the exchanges between Ace and Rose.
January 24th, 2008 at 11:17 pm
*Gape*
You mean… this is becoming a force for good rather than a self-indulgeant passtime???
Thank you so much for that.
I can’t tell you how cool that is. Makes me feel really really good.
*hugs*
You could make a game out of getting them to find all my horrible misspellings.
January 25th, 2008 at 1:28 am
Wasn’t this *always* a force for good?
I was under the impression that it was. *looks to the other people posting in the thread* Am I right?
January 25th, 2008 at 6:45 am
Ooyah! Poor ol’ Glitz. A swift tolchok in the yarbles from the Rani is his only reward.
January 25th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Yeah, my student actually did find a spelling mistake.
January 25th, 2008 at 10:13 pm
Only one??? You’ve got work to do, pal.
January 26th, 2008 at 11:57 am
Ivriniel: See? Everyone loves Ace! (ok, sorry, really couldn’t resist.)
February 14th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Oh, I sense another patented Rani double-cross coming on.
And huzzah for the knee to the groin! I nearly died when she did that to the Master in Mark of the Rani.
March 31st, 2008 at 9:21 pm
Glitz got what was coming to him… and it looked like it hurt, too.
