The 10 Doctors: Page 66
Davros explains to the 7th Doctor why he is having his imperial Daleks take over the Earthbound Cybermen, which ultimately will turn Earth into the new Skaro. The Doctor is shocked and his emotional reaction carries onto his next incarnation, who feels this strong emotion to a newly acquired memory.
The 8th Doctor is hiking outside of the Time Lord’s citadel on Gallifrey, unaware that he is being stalked by a dark figure with a pointy thing.

Amazing. I’m not a long-time Dr. Who watcher, but I enjoy good stories when I see them, and I’ve always found the Whoniverse fascinatingly convoluted. Your use of the disparate aspects of such a long-running show, especially capturing them some well, is frankly amazing. Well done and keep up the fantastic work!

This story is amazing! I’m really only familiar with the new Who…so I’m loving the insight into all the past incarnations, companions, enemies. Carry on…it’s great!

That closeup of Davros is awesome. Others have already said how well you portray McCoy, and I agree, but that Davros is nothing short of perfect.
I keep seeing people commenting that they’ve never seen any classic Dr Who - I hope this comic will prompt many of them to seek out the old stories, because there’s a wealth of background to the Whoniverse. I grew up with the Doctor. My earliest nightmares were of cybermen and daleks chasing me around the backyard from when I started watching Patrick Troughton’s Doctor (alas, I’m not quite old enough to have seen Hartnell in the original airings). The new stories have many little nods and references to the old material, so those who go back to catch up on classic Dr Who I think will find their experience of the new Who richer as a result.

Wow… brilliant plan by the Cybermen. I’m seeing shades of “The Long Game” in it; did that serve as a source of inspiration?
November 21st, 2007 at 9:15 am
YES! It’s my Seva’teem girl! WHOO!
At least I hope that’s her, otherwise Eight is going to be stabbed, and that can’t be good.
Interesting theory behind the Cybermen left on Earth. It makes eerie sense, actually, given not only the AU (John Lumic, anyone?) but also how the real Earth is advancing and changing along similar paths. That is what is so truly terrifying about the Cybermen.

I’m hoping that the figure with the knife is Leela. That would be tops!
Keep up the good work.

….and it all comes back to 8,
Eight is one of my favorites, mostly due to those non-cannon, pesky audios. Pity no Charley though.
Hellova job Rich! I’ve been reading/lurking for a while and spreading the word of the comic.

Spot-on close-up of Davros. Cybermen playing a long game? Interesting. I haven’t seen any classic Cybermen episodes so I don’t know if they’ve got the temperament for it. The Daleks sure do. Bloody Time War with us in the middle!
My viewing of the classic episodes is rather fractured. I thought that the girl that was with Mel at Terminus was Leela, but I just realized that Terminus is a fifth Doctor story (although in your comic, that doesn’t mean much). Was that Nyssa, then?
Thanks for the great read, Rich. Keep it up

..and lulz at “cosmic angst”!
November 21st, 2007 at 12:25 pm
“Dark figure with a pointy thing” my left buttock! It’s Leela!
*Sigh* Always did have a soft spot for Leela. IMO she could take Xena in a fight any day of the week.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned that I love how ’short’ you draw 8. No, that’s not sarcasm. McG is rather on the un-tall side. And I’m not sure how many people actually pay attention to the Doctors’ various heights. (Personally, in my own art, I’m horrible about it — I need to start using a height chart rather than pretending I can eyeball it.)
Also, I agree. That’s so tewtelly Leela. And were this Big Finish, she would be less likely to sneak up on 8 with a knife (unless this were pre-Zagreus 8, which is a non-issue here). Of course, were this Big Finish, she would also be [spoiler] and [spoiler]ed to [spoiler] and working for [spoiler] as a [spoiler].

AWESOME AWESOME stuff… jst caught up with the l;ast 3 pages.
You know I never even considered it could be Leela sneaking up behind with a pointy thing.
I’m just along for the ride.

If Leela’s Here That Must Mean K9MKI Is To
November 21st, 2007 at 4:44 pm
Let’s hope 8 meets up with 1 and 10 soon. We need to get back to them.
November 21st, 2007 at 5:30 pm
Brilliant!!! It’s Leela! It has to be, it just has to be.
I have to admint. That IS a plan. I didn’t think the Cybermen were capable of such imagination and deviousness. That’s a plan worthy of The Master. Possible nudge, nudge, wink, wink?
November 21st, 2007 at 6:11 pm
Leela? *dances* But…what if its not? *stares* Don’t hurt Eight, then there’d be no Nine and Ten! *gasp*
…Im SO hooked to this comic. I check this site like five times a day now.
*jumps up and down excitedly*

I love the style. So simple and bold, and it captures the characters perfectly.
Although, I think you have mentioned almost every Doctor Who character there has ever been.
As long as you dont team Rassilon and The Ergon up
November 21st, 2007 at 7:17 pm
Oooh, Davros with the total payback! Ooh!
Love that reference to “The Five Doctors.” Very fitting.
November 21st, 2007 at 7:51 pm
slaps head, of course, Leela, and i was just listening to disc two near the last track of the audio adventure, zagreus, where Leela comes in to tell Romana her dream!
November 21st, 2007 at 7:51 pm
Cosmic angst…fabulous!
November 21st, 2007 at 8:00 pm
This is so awesome! Everyone else has given the reasons why, so I’ll just leave it at that.
November 21st, 2007 at 8:55 pm
Gotta be Leela. And I love the “cosmic angst” reference!
Also, from a few pages back — thanks for reducing the Rose hate. Actually, Rose and Ace doing the “buddy movie” thing (start off hating each other, end up saving each other’s lives and go through grudging respect to actual friendship) works really well. Ta!

“Dark figure with a pointy thing” my left buttock! It’s Leela!
I’ll add my right buttock to your left buttock and join the celebration. Yay Leela! Made of win!
November 22nd, 2007 at 2:33 am
Cosmic angst. XD Uh oh, The Doctor’s really worried, that can’t be a good sign.
)
Ooo, Eight gets a companion, with a pointy thing. I wasn’t expecting that. (I like your Leela already
Daleks everywhere, Cyberman master plan, and constantly the revelation of MORE characters. Wow. Exciting stuff!
Still holding my breath for the return of Two. Y’know, or at least a clue that they didn’t just leave him on the floor. (:[ Poor guy needs a cuppa tea.
November 22nd, 2007 at 5:45 am
I ,ove the way that you’re pulling in old characters and foes from the past. I hope you manage to pull in the daleks old brutish sidekicks the ‘orgons’. Having the dracoians show as well would be nice
November 22nd, 2007 at 8:08 am
You missed the Draconians? Go back and read the comic over again!
November 22nd, 2007 at 2:10 pm
Ooo poor 8. *cuddles him*
November 22nd, 2007 at 7:34 pm
Happy Birthday Rich! I really enjoy this comic and YAFG. And this page was full of surprises!

Nice pointy thing.
March 16th, 2008 at 1:01 am
I think you’ve predicted Davros’ new look in the upcoming TV movie season.
