The 10 Doctors: page 53

The Supreme Dalek (design based on that from “Planet of the Daleks”) comes out to confirm the identity of the Keeper, but the clever 6th Doctor turns the tables on it and takes over the interrogation.

I love Six. I really, really love Six. That is just ten kinds of awesome.

  2. Jess Says:

    Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!!!

  3. Reinder Says:

By panel 5, where the Sixth Doctor makes the Dalek swivel its “head” all around, you can just tell it wants a reason to exterminate him, Keeper or not.

  4. Bunny Says:

Ooooh, Six has a cunning plan! I do love Six. Apart from his questionable fashion sense and his bitchy attitude, he really is one of the more clever Doctors, and it’s lovely to see this here.

I’m all itchy for the next installment! Keep it up, I love it so!

  5. Lisa Says:

    :D

  6. DrkFire666 Says:

I was always a bit confused about Dalek command livery and colours. They always seemed to change with the winds. But I guess for story purposes you have to just pick one and go with it.

  7. Sean Says:

All RIGHT!! Colin Baker would LOVE to do this scene, TV or audio play! Let’s hope he rescues Tom and Christopher.

  8. Luthien Says:

    EXCELLENT! Six ftw!

  9. joe england Says:

It occurs to me… why should the first Doctor have been the one to select the teams, anyway? Of all of them, he knows the least about their individual merits and capabilities. Shouldn’t Ten, having the most perspective, have been the one to direct them?

  10. Rich Says:

    You’re thinking like a human!
You’ve got to think more like a Time Lord!

(In other words: Who knows… it just seemed right.)

  11. shmeiliarockie Says:

Joining in the Six love! I’m very happy with what you’re doing with him here. Keep it up, you crazy genius!

  12. The Adventurer Says:

    Because he’s the oldest

    wait…

  13. dragon64 Says:

Ooo. He is good, he is very good.

  14. Sean Says:

Perhaps the 1st Doctor had observed the other Doctors long enough to know who could work with whom. After all, he was one of the more insightful Doctors.

By the way, where the heck did K9 go?! He was travelling with these Doctors. He was last seen helping the Sixth Doctor repair something.

  15. Liz Says:

Awesome! Wonderful plot on 6’s part. See, THIS is why I like 6…
Where IS k9, by the way?

  16. joe england Says:

Let us not forget that though he was authoritative, determined, and practical-minded, the first Doctor really was in many ways more childish and shortsighted than his later selves. Not to mention, far less moral in his earlier adventures. He was only vaguely concerned with the well-being of other peoples, unless he became directly involved. This may have been due to his feelings of protectiveness for Susan and traditional Time Lord attitudes which he had yet to fully shed, but he was undeniably unnecessarily confrontational and more than a little snide. Of course, it behooves us to hold in esteem those who have gone before, especially when they are no longer with us. But a person’s flaws are every bit as important in the record of their lives as their positive attributes, and must also be acknowledged. I can’t help feeling that the first Doctor would have far more to learn from his future selves than they would from him. Though, of course, he would teach them (or rather, remind them of) a very important thing or two as well.
I can just picture him being utterly aghast at what Ten has been telling him of how he’s been spending his millennia. “You what?! You EAT with the humans? Good grief, did you catch anything?? And why would you bother saving a whole planet, that’s no business of yours! I don’t even like the place! Well… just so long as you haven’t let any onboard the TARDIS yet… wait. Those companions of yours were all young Time Lords… weren’t they??”

  17. Liz Says:

He vcan’t say that about letting humans onboard- he had Vicki and Steven and Dodo. And maybe Ben?

  18. Rich Says:

True, but this comic takes place before he’s experienced any of that from his perspective.

  19. joe england Says:

Yeah. Say, wouldn’t it be hilarious if by sheer coincidence that actually was a Davrosian spy? He’d get all flustered and panic and be all “HOW? HOW DID YOU KNOW?? DAVROS FOREVER!! AHHH!” and self-destruct, and Six would just stand there all awkward because then he would have to go find another Dalek to outsmart.

  20. Kat Says:

Oh, Joe. You always make me laugh. =P

Great comic as ever, Rich! I almost like Six because of this now. …Almost.

  21. joe england Says:

Great! I love to make people laugh. That’s practically why I became a cartoonist! By the way, Rich, have you seen the new Sontaran…? Looking pretty slick, I’d say! At least as Sontarans go. I can’t wait for the new season.

  22. Inutaisho01 Says:

Watch it Six, you’re treading on very thin ice when you get pissy around a Supreme Dalek.

I hope Four and Nine have no trouble with the other Daleks. I doubt Nine will. He’ll be good to have around. He must have loads of wartime experience dealing with the would-be conquerers.

  23. DrkFire666 Says:

Hmmm, the Sontarans seem a bit shorter than I remember. Now that I think on it, they were a bit short weren’t they? Linx (Kevin Lindsay) only came up a little higher than Sarah Jane. And at 5′ 4″ Liz Sladen isn’t exactly what you’d call tall.

  24. Joel Fagin Says:

Oh, gawd. Dd you really have to bring back the Dalek with the torch for an eyestalk? :P

  25. Ivriniel Says:

Keeper eh? As in Keeper of the Matrix, perhaps?

And who was the last person we know of to hold that position?

And who should have readings that would match Six?

    :D

  26. docturlough Says:

    is there no more pages?

  27. Rich Says:

joe england - By the way, Rich, have you seen the new Sontaran…?

DrkFire666 Says - Hmmm, the Sontarans seem a bit shorter than I remember.

Rich - That’s what I was going to say. But I was thinking of the ones from “The Two Doctors” who tower over all the other actors.

Joel Fagin - Oh, gawd. Dd you really have to bring back the Dalek with the torch for an eyestalk?

Rich - I thought that was kinda cool! :D

Ivriniel - Keeper eh? As in Keeper of the Matrix, perhaps?

    Rich - I didn’t say that, did I?

docturlough - is there no more pages?

Rich - Not yet, no. But we just got power back after being hit by a hurricane, so I’ll get to the new pages soon as I can.

  28. Gecks Says:

six six, he’s our man if he can’t do it, then maybe the master can! YaaaayYYyYy six!

  29. Dale Who Says:

Stunning stuff Rich. Very impressed by the time (and space), dedication and effort you’re putting into this!! I’ll be mentioning it in Dr Who Online’s “Psychic Paper” Monday night as I think it’s terrific!!

  30. Bob Says:

    Where Did K-9 GO
    Will We See Companions
    Oooh Mardy Six

  31. julia Says:

Get back 2 the tenth Doctor and the first. There should be a limet 2 the number of pages for each story, right now there is 4 or more different storys going on, u should limet each story 2 a ceritan amount of pages before going back 2 another story. That way they will balance out each other.

    P.S. u r a really, really good drawer.

  32. Rich Says:

I’ll be doing this comic in segments that need to get out in a certain order in order for the entire strip to make sense and have continuity.
Unfortunately, I can’t release more than one page a day, so sometimes it takes a while to get through a segmenet.

You’ll just have to have patience and bear with me. Sorry.

  33. Laura Says:

Ah man. I’ve been reading this comic for a bit now, and I am LOVING it. And to think I started just because there was some Nine and Ten (and a bit of Rose) involved. Ah well, it’s just like how I’ve wound up falling into the rest of Whovian fandom.

Gotta say, this sequence is really making me really want to see some of Six’s adventures. I’ve only really seen a bit of Two and Four (well, and the new Series). Six seems like such a great, slightly psycho jerk. And I really love how perfectly like the characters all the little cartoons look. Forget the “trying to be a little too realistic” flash cartoons they’ve done. If they ever animate the rest of Two’s adventures (or any others), it should be in this style.

Gah, can’t wait to see how Six’s cunning plan works. And how the rest of this unfolds. Fantastic comic; thank you for uploading!

  34. Thomas Says:

Not meaning to be picky but the “Keeper” was taken from between 12 and 13, so he shouldn’t really have 6’s biodata.

  35. Rich Says:

Oh, he doesn’t have the 6th Doctor’s bio data. He just resembles him because he’s the more “evil” of the Doctors. He kils without remorse in a few episodes. The Daleks simply notice a resemblance to the Keeper and since they figure the 4th Doctor is THE Doctor, the 9th Doctor must be an imposter, and the 6th Doctor must be the Keeper. It’s faulty logic that forced them to make bad decisions.

  36. Julia Says:

I love Six’s sharp attitude and sharp face, and the darker psychic signature. He always was one of the more ruthless Doctors. You do such a good job characterizing the different Doctors: Five’s empathy, Seven’s keenness, One’s command of the situation and speech patterns…

  37. Pauline Says:

The Dalek was right. ‘Higher aggression, indeed!’

Why aren’t the Daleks questioning why the ‘Keeper’ brought the ‘Doctor’ along?
