The 10 Doctors: page 50
The Daleks identify the 2nd Doctor, but their limited understanding of time travel and their distorted logic prevents them from comprehending the possibility of two Doctors existing in the same place at the same time. The 7th Doctor provides an answer for them.
Meanwhile, the renegade Daleks are faced with the same problem…

Wow. Rich… I check almost everyday for a new page of my FAVORITE comic and today I was super lucky
perfect timing.
Sometimes I feel as confused as a dalek, there is so much of the Doctor Who-universe that I still have to catch up on. At the same time, there’s still so much out there for me to enjoy!

Who’s on first?
(I had to, I just *had* to)

Eeep! Text error in panel 4! Must fix!
***fixed***
Thank you, Carrie!
Niel… argh. I suppose someone DID have to make that joke. Thanks for getting it out of the way.

I’m glad you’re back, I’ve gotta say I missed your brilliant comic

Thank you! Truth be told I never went anywhere. Just my schedule changed somewhat and I was unable to get into the headspace I needed to be to do more. Things are starting to shift back now, so I’ll try to keep it going.

I love where this is going. Fantastic work. Please keep it going.

I don’t mean to nitpick such an excellent fan comic, but I noticed a slight continuity error in this page. If these Daleks are Imperial Daleks of Seven’s era and know him and all other past Doctors, then how can they recognize Nine as an incarnation of the Doctor when they haven’t encountered him yet?

Addition: by “they” I mean the Renegade Daleks Four, Six and Nine had stumbled across earlier. Apologies for any confusion

Ah, interesting point you raise. But not something I haven’t already thought about.
Here’s the thing: In the series, the Daleks are (sometimes) able to recognize the Doctor in a new incarnation.
I site mainly “The Resurrection of the Daleks”, where they just seem to know that Peter Davison in the new Doctor at a glance.. or as I prefer to think of it, a scan.
Logically, they have learned that the Doctor (a Time Lord) can change his appearance, so they must assume that won’t always recognize him when he turns up on appearance alone. They do seem to be able to tell him from different Time Lords, so my solution is that they have some kind of bio scan of him (taken maybe sometime during Pertwee’s era) and can recognize him after a scan.
In this case, they never ever anticipated seeing more than one at a time. A simple logical error the likes of which are kind of common with the Daleks, being genetically engineered creatures with thier biological emotions and motives all screwed up. Ultimately, they can never be wrong in their estimations, and so need simple solutions for their miscalculations.
So yeah, they’d be able to recognize the 9th Doctor as the Doctor, but what their Dalek-y brains make of that information… well, you’ll have to wait until the next page to find out.

Yay you’re back!!

Neil, I once saw an episode of a program called Robot Chicken from the Cartoon Network on Youtube, it’s been removed now. But it was a small clip of Doctor #4 standing on 1st base, after a bit he simply says “Do you get it?” Fabulous!

Yes! Well done!
And now I assume we are returning to 4, 6 and 9? Wonderful! It’ll be good to see how the Bakers interact with the doom and gloom of Eccleston.

Oh, this is great stuff! Bit of an unprecedented event, the Daleks facing more than one Doctor.
Keep it going!
October 30th, 2007 at 5:30 pm
(Yeah, the Robot Chicken gag was fun.)
Ooh, new page! Here’s to the people at Sci-fi’s Doctor Who forum who bumped the thread so I’d know!
And here’s to you. Because it’s great. Really. ’tis. Poor little Daleks, one track mind.

I hope the conundrum fries a few Dalek brain cells…..

Ooooh, thank you. Can’t wait for the next one!

Hid brother….ha. I like that. Nice touch.

These Daleks don’t know about time travel so can’t be the same Daleks that the Eighth Doctor fought in the Time War

?
Not sure I understand your comment.
There are no Daleks that don’t know about time travel.
In William Hartnell’s (1st Doctor)”The Chase”, the Daleks had built (stole?) a time travel device that could follow the TARDIS wherever it went. In “Genesis of the Daleks” (4th Doctor), we learn that the Doctor was there at their birth and Davros learned about TIme Lords and time travel and had the info genetically programmed into them from the start.
Presumably he kept the info as part of the regular mind patterns of the newer white Daleks he created in the 6th Doctor episode “Revelation of the Daleks” and the 7th Doctor’s “Remembrance of the Daleks”.
What I’ve got happening here is their flawed logic unable to accept the Doctor being in more than one form at one time. Instead of simply accepting something they hadn’t thought of as a rational being would do, their believe they are perfect and cannot have been wrong. Therefore there cannot be more than one Doctor.

Poor Daleks. All those Docs putting them into a tizzy! IMPOSSIBLE! Love how they use Ten’s line. BRILLIANT!
