I’m sensing some foreshadowing into the start of the Time War. Or am I reading too much into it?
September 28th, 2007 at 8:11 am
Read all you like into it. It’s probably true.

dun dun DunDun!!!
September 28th, 2007 at 10:32 am
Fivey looks really great in this one! This is just really getting better and better all the time.
September 28th, 2007 at 11:01 am
You’d think the Doctor would understand why the Federation would be so upset with the Time Lords. To paraphrase his second incarnation, they are guilty of failing to use their great powers to help those in need.

I love Five. He’s my favorite. (Previous comment didn’t show for some reason…prolly the heart I did lol)
September 28th, 2007 at 12:00 pm
47 pages in, and this comic just keeps getting more and more interesting.
Keep up the wonderful work

-You’d think the Doctor would understand why the Federation would be so upset with the Time Lords. -
Oh, you’re absolutely right! He agrees. He just didn’t make the connection at first.
Here’s how MST3K would have put it:
“My car won’t go and everyone’s blaming the trees!”
“Oh, well I can see where…. HUNH?”
September 28th, 2007 at 1:09 pm
Yay! The plot thickens and thickens….this is the best, Rich! Thanks so much!
September 28th, 2007 at 1:44 pm
I’m hoping Three will get to karate-chop somebody.
Great comic, I’m loving every update!
September 28th, 2007 at 2:09 pm
Cue the ending “sting” and run the closing credits.
September 28th, 2007 at 3:52 pm
Yes! You like MST3k! MITCHELL!
Excellent cliffhanger. That’s probably where that part of the serial would end.
September 28th, 2007 at 7:31 pm
You know, it’s a pity MST3K never did any Doctor Who episodes. They probably would have been hilarious.
September 28th, 2007 at 9:54 pm
Guess Five can recognise the Master even in a new body, not like the Alpha Centauri ambassador who can’t tell Three and Five are both the Doctor.
September 28th, 2007 at 9:56 pm
The Time Lords seem to be able to recognize eachother in any form.
Alpha Centauri has only ever met the 3rd Doctor and knows nothing of regeneration.
September 28th, 2007 at 10:50 pm
I was pointed to your comic today, and I have to say, reading everything up to this point, you have an amazingly compelling story here. And you’ve captured the looks and mannerisms of all of the Doctors so very, very well! Good job, and I look forward to future installments!
JOhn.
September 28th, 2007 at 10:53 pm
Thank you!

Found through LiveJournal. Nicely done! I’m going to keep watching.
September 30th, 2007 at 6:18 am
I do hate to point out perhaps one eensy weensy tiny little possible continuity flaw but, back when the Master possessed that technitian, he spoke to, and walked past, the Eighth Doctor… and despite both being Time Lords, they didn’t recognize one another. And now seemingly Five is able to recognize him with little trouble.
No complaints really, I know these things crop up in the old series from time to time but… just thought I’d point it out.
*bends time and space and the rules of mathematics to award you a 6/5 for your continued work.
September 30th, 2007 at 6:22 am
im sure rich will answer this suitably, however, the master, obviously being a timelord on gallifrey, so there, was no problem with recognising him as a fellow timelord, and plus, eight was far too distracted to even realise who had just walked out of the Doctor’s TARDIS
September 30th, 2007 at 8:08 am
Heheheh, yup!
That’s what I was going to say.
The 8th Doctor was so preoccupied with what he was doing he more-or-less ignored the technician/Master, who was also keeping his face turned away. Nothing more distinctive than that goatee and swept-back hair.
(I site the 5th Doctor episode “Mawdryn Undead” when the Doctor swept into the TARDIS and set the coordinates before looking up and realizing there was a strangers standing at the controls opposite him. Turlough)
It also took the 6th Doctor a little while to recognize his former teacher and drinking buddy Azriel in The Twin Dilemma , though he was still suffering post-regeneration trauma.
I dont remember off hand how long it took the 3rd Doctor to recognize his old mentor K’An-Po in The Planet of the Spiders but it wasn’t immediate and he didn’t recognize Cho’Je, the projected next incanration either. Possibly because the others’ spirit wasn’t actually in that body yet.
The Master’s gotten away with fooling him in various disguises for a while too (The King’s Demons, Time Flight)
So it’s not 100% accurate.

Maybe the Master sometimes uses bio-dampers?
Anyway, this is such a great comic! I really love it. You do expressions very well. And yay, cliffhanger! XD

I like the groupings of Doctors–they really make sense: the original and the current, the two “quirky” Doctors (2 & 7), the two most rational Doctors (3 & 5), and the three most “bombastic” Doctors (4, 6 and 9). Was this on purpose or just a happy coincidence?
And I’m beginning to wonder if we’re going to see any of the “Unbound” Doctors or (shudder) the Richard E. Grant Doctor. Well, if time is TRULY messed up….
October 1st, 2007 at 11:35 am
I chose the groupings mostly as “Doctors that have something in common”, I couldn’t put it quite as well as you did, but that’s how I saw them, too.
As for non-TV Doctors, I have no current plans for it, but you never know.
You never, never know.
*Evil grin*
October 1st, 2007 at 4:21 pm
ARRRGGHHHH Richard E. Grant and Peter Cushing?, NoOoOooooOOo….. well maybe Peter Cushing..
October 1st, 2007 at 5:06 pm
Yeah, I’d rather you just stick to the actual 10 Doctors.
Speaking of which, are we going to get to Doctors 2 and 7 soon? I want to see how THEY are getting on.
October 2nd, 2007 at 1:33 am
Another person who found this via LiveJournal. This is, as they say, made of win. And I can’t wait to see what the Master’s going to do in all of this!
October 2nd, 2007 at 1:33 pm
“My goodness.
Well, I have all my talent and I don’t think I ‘have it made’,.”
well maybe not have it made in the real world, but i could finaly get all these damn images out of my head, and onto paper!, had this several doctors picture stuck in my head since the Five Doctors.
but i cant draw it, and nobody else will draw it either *grump*
ahh but to have an artistic talent, the pictures i could do, the happy hours i would waste, the mounted coloured doctor who fan pics i’d have dotted around the house, that would annoy my wife… absolute bliss!
October 2nd, 2007 at 2:48 pm
Loving the artwork and plot.
More, Please…
October 2nd, 2007 at 7:27 pm
but i cant draw it, and nobody else will draw it either *grump*
I know what that image is.
I said I’d draw it ages ago and didn’t. I’m sorry. But hang in there. I’ll make it up to you.
October 2nd, 2007 at 8:00 pm
I love the work your doing!.. but for some reason the master seems a bit drunk? maybe its the pose, or maybe its just me haha…
October 2nd, 2007 at 9:58 pm
Hehehh… it’s the pose, I guess. He’s supposed to be looking under the wing of a ship. He’s supposed to be stooping slightly, rather than holding himself up while he wobbles drunkenly. Heheh…

The two panels 5 and 7 with the close ups of the 3rd and 5th look exactly like the actors who play them!!! Its identical!!!! This brilliant and fanTAStic!!!!!
May 10th, 2008 at 5:29 am
I’m still waiting for the Joanna Lumley Doctor. Awesome
