Ooooo I hope they’re landing where I think they’re landing!!!

  2. Rich Says:

    Um…. where might that be?

  3. Jim Says:

Love the conversation between the original and the current model. It’s just great.

Rich, I can say with the utmost confidence that Bill Hartnell, Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee are looking down from Heaven and loving this strip as much as the rest of us.

  4. Rich Says:

    Hahahahahha…
    Oh, I hope so.

    The Three Doctors, united again.

  5. Isi Says:

    1+10
    neat
i disagree with one though. crazy spike-ed quiffs are the way forwards!!

  6. Lisa Says:

I love this comic so much. I can’t help but thinking (cuz I write DW fanfiction and I kinda put myself in it as an alter ego — I call her AL for Alien Lisa) that if AL were ever in Doctor Who, she’d be in this comic, too. *pout*

Ah, well. Loving the comic, as always.

  7. Captain Shade Says:

It’s so good, I’d love to see a cross-over with YAFGC.

  8. joe england Says:

You know, it’s usually assumed that every Doctor has within himself the essences of his past selves. If this is true, I can’t help but see Ten’s expression in the third panel as being the first Doctor expressing consternation at his own physical incarnation talking down to his current persona. That just seems a very “First Doctor-ish” face to make. And that really brings it back, how these are actually the same man meeting himself across time.

  9. Therru Says:

Ha ha, you’ve really got them both spot on in this one! Both WRT personality and looks. Great work. And I love how pissed off Ten looks when One calls him ‘boy’ (seeing as he is actually much, much older than One…)

  10. Sean Says:

Ah, nice to see the First Doctor approves the future.

This was something I thought about. How can they get to Gallifrey if it isn’t there anymore?

  11. davonna Says:

again, fantastic pairing them up together!

  12. Jim Says:

Davonna, I believe you mean “FanTAStic!”

  13. Gecks Says:

Heh heh, where are we landing now, can’t wait to see how you answer this question, or one for that matter ;) hartnell 15 tennant 1 hahahahha :D

  14. Jonathan Says:

So THAT explains the whole Police Box thing…it’s some sort of temporal loop….oy!

  15. Sarah Says:

I just started reading this and I’ve got to say it’s brilliant! Fantastic job on this comic! Absolutely fantastic. =D I only wish I knew more about the old series to get some of the stuff, but still, it’s wonderful!

P.S. I know he didn’t appear in this strip, but still, I adore the way you draw the 9nth Doctor. He’s my favorite.

  16. holly Says:

just thought i’d say that i’m loving this comic. You have everyones appearance and personalitys perfect!

  17. Rich Says:

    Thank you! Thank you everyone!
Hang in there, I’m determined to get this thing actually finished one day.

  18. Phil Says:

Didn’t the chameleon circuit brake, and then later when it was fixit he decided to leave it?

  19. Rich Says:

-Didn’t the chameleon circuit brake, and then later when it was fixit he decided to leave it?-

    I think it’s interperative.
In “Attack of the Cybermen”, the 6th Doctor, in a sort-of sequel scene to “Logopolis” where the 4th Doctor obtains the data he needs, “fixes” the chameleon circuit (after a scene in “The Twin Dilemma” where he complains about the ‘hideous’ Police Box). It procedes to change shape into various things that are wild, random and even MORE incongruous than the Police Box was. A silly cabinet, a massive wardrobe, a pipe organ, etc. Eventually it lands as a Police Box, which the Doctor affectionately pats.

Did the chameleon circuit break again? Did the TARDIS decide itself to stay a Police Box? Did the Doctor deliberately shut it off?

Whatever actually happened there, the result is the Doctor gave up trying to repair it and seems to be content with its form. He makes no further attempt to repair or change it.

Obviously, my take is that the circuit is so worn down and broken, mixed with the TARDIS’ semi - sentient nature, it just snapped back to Police Box form and stayed like that. And the Doctor relented.

  20. Phil Says:

thank you for the explination :)

  21. Wildcat Says:

Rich says: “Obviously, my take is that the circuit is so worn down and broken, mixed with the TARDIS’ semi - sentient nature, it just snapped back to Police Box form and stayed like that. And the Doctor relented.”

It just likes that form. Kinda like an old pair of shoes…

  22. Erik Says:

    Rich,

Bravo on the simple explanation of why the 10th Doctor cannot return to Gallifrey’s past. I always figured the TARDIS is anchored in time relative to Gallifrey and going to its own past would be breaking the first law of time.

  23. Levanta Tyler Says:

Ah, a simple explanation :D. Thanks for not making it impossible for a mortal lifeform to comprehend. Nice job with this scene!

  24. Levanta Tyler Says:

    Darn. BBCode isn’t supported.

  25. Ben Says:

Funny, I’d imagine the first Doctor to be a tad more critical about the tenth’s newly-designed console room.

“What IS this place supposed to be, hmm?! The inside of an octopus, perhaps?!”

  26. me, myself Says:

And of course The Doctor likes the phone box so much, he’d be sad if it were EVER anything else. And the TARDIS is semi-sentient, so it knows how much he likes it.

Ben: I totally agree about the console room. What happened to the clinical white console room with circles. I love those circles …
