Absolutely fantastic work. Please keep going.

This is really fantastic
I love it.

Oooo….

The Tennant mannerisms are spot-on!

I just found this comic, and I absolutely adore it. Best Doctor Who fan comic I have found on the net thus far. ^___^ Your Seventh Doctor is spot on. All you’re Doctors are, really. Which is great.
One thing has been bugging me, though. Why isn’t Ten in the same state of distress over Rose as Nine is? I mean, considering he had spent the entirety of Series 3 (And the beginning of this comic) angsting over her, you’d think he’d be a bit more edgy around her, maybe even a bit clingy? Or maybe he’s purposely keeping his distance because it isn’t exactly his Rose and she’ll end up just leaving with Nine again? At the very least he should be defensive of Nine’s relationship with her, if not a little jealous. I hope at least one of the classic Doctors (maybe Seven? or Eight?) will be made to see that his feelings for Rose are not necessarily a bad thing before the end of the story.
Also, she’s being portrayed as a bit of a bitch here. Hope that’ll fade away a bit to allow some of her good qualities to show before the comic finishes. Just my humble opinion.
Keep up the awesome work! ^__^

Yay! And you’ve really caught Tenn spot-on in square no. 3. More spot-on than usual, I mean. XD

The N-no-ing is very…Ten.
But I seem to be the only one that doesn’t understand why he’s doing it?
What’d I miss there?
August 23rd, 2007 at 6:30 pm
Okay, yeah, I didn’t make that very clear. My wife didn’t get it either.
He’s flabbergasted by the notion brought up by #1 that #9 might actually be responsible for the whole thing.
“What? Nooo…. No, no nooo….”
August 23rd, 2007 at 6:33 pm
I believe he’s also somewhat-objecting to being paired with No. 1. What I’m really wondering about is what 5 meant when he said “could’ve been worse.” Which set of ears should be burning, here?
August 23rd, 2007 at 8:18 pm
I dunno… as I draw them and they dictate their feelings to me, I felt a kind of relief from 10 when 1 showed up. As though he was happy to let the old guy do his thing and take charge.

Thanks for the explanation. I see it clearly now! I’m just a bit slow, I suppose.

I like the brief glimpse of the Sixth Doctor’s caring side as comforts #9.

Hmm…. I dunno, Talisha. I mean, sure, Rose was a sweetie and supportive and lovey and all… until she ran up against some evidence that she wasn’t the only woman in the Doctor’s life. Then she turned into the hellbitch. I really think I’m writing her true to form. Unless she comes up against some out-of-character realization that she’s not the center of the universe.
Just my humble opinion.

not the centre of the universe? better mind that fairy cake, and keep away from frogstar world b

Rose is acting completely in-character, and frankly I’ve been coming to agree with some of her more negative portrayals ever since she vanished from the program… yet she keeps getting mentioned and brought up. One would almost think the Whoverse -did- revolve around her. Bleh and triple bleh. I find it most enjoyable to see her cat-fighting with Ace. Just hope she doesn’t cross Leela, if she shows up. Sevateem Warrior beats Shopgirl anyday of the week.
I love this comic. Love, love, love, love, love. Every character is spot on. From the Doctors to the Companions to their vast, vast number of Enemies. Sheer brilliance. The in-jokes are splitting my sides and the sheer number of cameos and guest appearances is making me experiment in my basement to build a time machine of my own… so I can travel ahead and see the ending!
September 17th, 2007 at 5:41 pm
is it just me or can you hear the doctors voices when you read this ;).. love it sooo much!
September 17th, 2007 at 5:43 pm
As I write it, if I try to make sure I can hear the dialogue in the actor’s voice. Well, actually I do it the other way around. I set up a situation and listen to hear how they would respond in my head.

Heh heh, he called his older self “young man”… =P

Ace vs. Rose is amusing partly because they’re such opposites… Ace is far more intelligent than Rose, less dependent on the Doctor, younger, and not needing the Doc to rescue her from a life as a complete slacker.
I don’t see what all the fuss about Rose leaving is… she’s really rather thick… I do support Nine/Rose a bit though, because they’re so CUUUTE….

I’m loving the detail you’ve put into this. The washing-up-bowl walls in the Third Doctor’s TARDIS, for example, are the sort of thing a lot of folks might forget.
I agree that you’re being a little harsh on Rose, though — it’s true that she had a strong jealous streak, but she also had intelligence and a lot of heart. I hope that we’ll get to see those sides of her as well.
January 10th, 2008 at 6:00 pm
heres my opinion. The Tardis’s are damaged from the eye of harmony thing, but what the ninth doctor did by trying to save rose rechrged the tardis’s so the doctors could have more ‘emergancy’ power, But the 8th is having his tardis repaired but the master ruins it and the daleks make those timelords try and kill the doctor while hes trapped on gallifrey (matrix). But when 10 and 1 get there they get involved and trapped to, then the thing set up by those thingys will attack gallifrey at the same time rage war with the daleks, starting time war, timelords get involved then Valeyard is exteermnated to allow the Daleks to exterminate the trapped 8th doctor, but then 10 and 1 arrive and trap the daleks in the matrix let 8 sort out stuff while timewar begins, en thus the eye gets destroyed, the 8th regenerates into 9 so it is nines fault. well to cut it down since 8 destroyed the eye that leaves them all trapped as they enter that area of the tme vortex. and if i am wrong please kill me.

I dunno about the Rose=hellbitch thing.
One, she and Sara-Jane were practically friends by the end of School Reunion. And part of her bitchyness was due to fear rather than jealousy. I mean, Sara-Jane was abandoned by the Doctor (It made me happy when that came back to bite him) and as far as she knew, that’s what he did to all companions after a while. Makes one a little insecure. But I do agree that a companion shouldn’t be that needy or clingy. Eh.
Two, Girl the the Fireplace. It’s not even a Doc/Rose shippy episode, but frankly it portrays Rose in a very flattering way. She doesn’t act angry at all - she even asks the Doctor if he’s all right. I don’t know that I could be that mature in those circumstances.
Yeah, I like Rose as a character. However, she’s human and she has faults. Glaring ones! I understand why there are a bunch of fans that hate her - they have reasons, I know. I just wish they understood why other people like her, instead of chalking it up to ‘Mary-Sue magnetism’ or something. Because that implies that all fans that like Rose are drooling idiots, which I find insulting.
Bleh. I just wish that we could all stop the hatin’ and be Doctor Who fans.
And maybe ritually murder the squealing Tennant fangirls who self-insert themselves into fanfiction.
March 2nd, 2008 at 3:59 pm
Yeah, I hate those fangirls too…you should read star trek kirk fanfic.
See? Not everyone hates 9! What happened to the rainbowy umbrella? It was weird and cool.

I can hear voices when I read this too! the ones I know anyway
